Good day everyone! As we spoke about at our last meeting we were going to continue with business as usual until final decisions on membership and path were shared. In keeping with the passion and dedication of all of us please share your thoughts below regarding the Afflerbach book. Please use the dialogue questions as a guide, but know that this is just a guide and you may share any other thoughts for dialogue.
We have embarked on a wonderful voyage of learning as partners. As we continue to progress through our acquisition of expertise and knowledge collectively it is important that we continue to reflect and respond in dialogue form through the discussion board. Let us use these opportunities to share, converse and grow together as a learning community with a common mission, vision and global awareness in literacy for students with disabilities. In our work it is important to be able to facilitate growth and achievement for educators in all roles of student interaction, system and building leadership. One way to dothat is with the common knowledge base we have and are currently developing within oursleves.
As a learning community, we have decided that the following requirements would be instituted for the book Understanding and Using Reading Assessment k-12 written by Peter Afflerbach. We as a group believe that inorder for us to stay current as educational leader we too must continuously develop ourselves. Even though we are all very busy in the day to day hustle and bustle, we found the following to be appropriate expectations.
